A look on the random, on landscape, on daily life. Small actions, delicate displacements. The poetry in the mundane. The power of delicacy. The vulnerable image. A program of Brazilian recent videos, 'Real Delicacies' includes videos by Cao Guimarães, Leonardo Mouramateus and Angella Conte, among others. These artists articulate images from reality, and escape definitions of genre – documentary, experimental, fiction? - to weave a personnel poetic drawn from the subject's relation to his surroundings, while avoiding technical mannerisms or superfluous effects. The program was firstly a response to an invitation of the festival MADATAC in Madrid, but it was later showed in a month lenght exhibition at the National Gallery of Iceland.
